What are robotic vacuum cleaners?- Their advantages & disadvantages.

1.  What are robotic vacuum cleaners?

Robotic vacuum cleaners are smart appliances that take care of house sweeping & moping work independently without any human intervention.

They contain rotating brushes & dust collectors to pick up dirt & debris from carpets & floors.

They are cordless devices having rechargeable batteries.

2. What are the advantages & disadvantages of using robotic vacuum cleaners?

Advantages:

◆.  Saves time:

Once set up, it does all the cleaning work without your intervention. This saves our time to get engaged in some priority work.

◆.  Healthy environment:

They clean all the dust & spots with higher efficiency. We can use them to clean several times a day thus creating a healthy interior.

◆.  Less noise:

When compared to regular vacuum cleaners, they are much quieter. This helps to avoid nuisance & enhances our comfort level.

◆.  Preferential cleaning:

We can schedule them to clean exactly as required. We can generate a house map & feed a working route as per our preference.

◆.  Furniture safety:

Robovac is fitted with sensors to detect furniture & other appliances. They automatically turn around by avoiding a collision. This not only saves them from self-damage but also protects the furniture.

◆.  Mobile phone control:

By downloading the company's mobile apps, we can control them much more easily. By clicking mobile buttons, we can schedule their daily work.

◆.  Easy to carry:

Robovac is a compact device to store or carry wherever required. When compared to traditional vacuum cleaners, they weigh less & much smaller.

◆.  Self-charging:

They move to the docking station when the battery is low & recharge themselves. So, there is no need to worry about half-done work due to no recharge.

◆.  Cost-efficient:

When compared with housemaids, they are much cheaper & economical. Whatever you have invested while buying them will be recovered within a few months.

Disadvantages:

 ◆.  Floor limitations:

They only work for the given floor level. If your home has an upstairs, you have to place them manually on the upper floor.

Nowadays, some experiment is going on to create a flying Robovac for cleaning the upper floor.

 ◆.  Avoids staircase:

They cannot do the cleaning work on the staircase.

 ◆.  Avoids narrow gap:

If the furniture has a lower gap above the floor level, the Robovac may not enter beneath the furniture.

3. How does a robotic vacuum cleaner work?

The robotic vacuum cleaner contains two spinning brushes & one rolling brush. These brushes rotate to collect the dust & dirt, while the electric motor creates suction to store them. The Robovac is fitted with removable dust containers, where all the collected particles are accumulated.

Once the container gets filled, we have to remove and manually empty them.

The latest models have come up with a self-cleaning dock station where the collected debris is sucked from the Robovac container.

They contain rechargeable batteries & have the capability to return to the docking station for self-charging when the battery is low.

Robovac is fitted with sensors for automatic navigation & to steer itself away from obstructions.

The high-end models have self-navigation features. It collects the movement data & gradually builds its own map of the office or home. So, it senses its current position & knows where it needs to go.
