After opening the packet you have to break the lumps into soft workable mass. You have to add water of about 5 to 7liter for 1packet of silk plaster liquid wallpaper. The mixture should be kneaded in such a way that you should not feel granules or lumps in the mix. The wet mix should be kept for 1 to 2hr. to achieve soft homogeneous material.
After 1-2hr. period, the wet mix is thoroughly kneaded again, and the material is applied over the surface using a plastic trowel (spatula).
3. What is the coverage area of liquid wallpaper?
The coverage area of the single packet is about 40 to 50sq ft. of wall area. Each packet contains 960gm to 980gm. of material.
4. What is the price of silk plaster liquid wallpaper?
The price of liquid wallpaper ranges from INR 1500/- to 2500/- per packet depending upon the brand, type of design, quality, etc.
5. Where we can apply liquid wallpaper?
You can apply them over any interior surfaces such as walls, gypsum plaster, plywood, glass, ceiling, ceramic tiles, etc.
6. What are the advantages & disadvantages of silk plaster liquid wallpaper?
Advantages:
1. Provides 3D - texture to the surface.
2. Liquid wallpaper can be applied on almost all types of interior surfaces.
3. Gives seamless look without cuts & joints.
4. No need for skilled workers for application. You need a trowel to apply them and the job can be completed with little effort.
5. Any stains or dents can be covered by applying them.
6. You can remove them whenever necessary by wetting them with warm water.
7. Repairing the existing wallpaper design is easy. Repaired patches give a seamless look with the existing surface.
8. Acts as a thermal insulator.
9. Good barrier of sound.
Disadvantages:
1. Comparatively, the product is more expensive.
2. We cannot use them in water-prone areas.
3. We cannot wash the liquid wallpaper surface with water.
