Plinth beam size = 300mm. × 380mm.= 0.3m. × 0.38m.
Clear length of the plinth beam = 2500mm.= 2.5m.
Grade of concrete = M20.
A. Material cost
Let us calculate the cost of a single plinth beam PB1.
1. Concrete:
The volume of concrete in the plinth beam
= [ L × B × H]
= [2.5m. × 0.30m. × 0.38m.]
= 0.285 CUM.

= [vol. of concrete in CUM × rate/ CUM]
= [0.285 × 6065.42/-]

Stirrup ties 👉 8mm. ∅ - 150mm. c/c.

B. Labor cost:
1. Plinth beam concreting:
The labor rate of plinth beam concreting will be between INR 500/- to 900/- per CUM.
Let us take the average rate of INR 700/- per CUM.
The labor cost of plinth beam concreting
= [total vol. of concrete in CUM × rate/CUM.]
=[0.285CUM × 700/-]
= INR 199.50/-
2. Reinforcement:
The labor rate of plinth beam reinforcement work will be between INR 8/- to 14/- per kg.
Let us take the average rate of INR 11/- per kg.
The labor cost of plinth beam reinforcement
= [total wt. of steel in kgs. × labor rate/kg.]
= [ 29.863 kg. × 11/-]
= INR 328.49/-
3. Formwork:
The labor rate of plinth beam shuttering work will be between INR 11/- to 17/- per RFT.
Let us take the average rate of INR 14/- per RFT.
or INR 150/- per RMT.
The labor cost of plinth beam formwork
= [total length of formwork in RMT × labor rate/RMT.]
= [ 2.5m. × 150/-]
= INR 375/-
The total labor cost of the plinth beam
= cost of [ concreting + reinforcement + formwork]
