Thumb rule:

The total cost of the water tank = INR 24,578/-

The volume of the tank = 1771 liters.

The cost of a masonry water tank/liter

= [ total water tank cost ÷ vol. in liters]

= [ 24,578  ÷ 1771]

= 13.87 / liter.
